Invisibility of vulnerable groups in cultural museum management strategies formulation2024-04-27T19:55:54+00:00Rocio Gonzálezrociogonzalezgma@gmail.comGuadalupe González Garcíaggonzalezga@uaemex.mx
This project aims to understand the impact of disregarding vulnerable groups when formulating museum strategies. The methodology is developed through a deductive stage-by-stage analysis. First, the semantics is defined by answering two questions: What is accessibility, its importance, and What types of disabilities do we coexist with? Secondly, a search was conducted on the regulations related to the city where the studied museum is located. Through tools such as observation and interviews with institution collaborators, information related to internal strategies was collected, which later led to a discussion comparing the institution's provisions with the regulations, allowing weaknesses to be identified within the institution. As a conclusion, a reflective argument is made about the importance of including vulnerable groups in strategy formulation, based on the resources available to a museum, and thus enabling universal access to culture.
2024-12-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Universidad de Guadalajara (México)https://corima.udgvirtual.udg.mx/index.php/corima/article/view/7476In the Stringing Ring. Cultural Approach to Gastronomy through Wrestling2024-05-01T01:08:23+00:00Andres Lopez Ojedaalopezoj@uaemex.mxCarmen Pérez Camachocarmen_diorema@yahoo.com.mxRicardo Hernández Lópezriherlo@hotmail.com
The purpose of the work is to characterize the presence of gastronomy through the sport-spectacle of wrestling from a cultural scope. An inductive methodology with a qualitative and exploratory approach was used, based on the analysis of documentary, web (vlogs) and ethnographic material. Based on the above, it shows the way in which both heritages constitute symbolic forms that complement each other, communicate values, strengthen belongings and contribute to the construction of identities. These are the results that stand out: beyond the functional aspects, gastronomy in wrestling occupies a relevant place because it establishes a vector of distinction, an interpersonal playful communication, an artifact of memory and reinforcement of “lo nacional” [local identity]
2024-12-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Universidad de Guadalajara (México)https://corima.udgvirtual.udg.mx/index.php/corima/article/view/7460Influence of agroecological of tourism on the revitalization of the Kichwa language and the Otavalo cultural identity2024-01-10T03:16:54+00:00Chess Emmanuel Briceño Nuñezchesspiare@gmail.com
A qualitative study conducted in Otavalo, Ecuador, analyzed the role of agroecological tourism in the revitalization of the Kichwa language and the preservation of the community's cultural identity. The research approach focused on a case study involving 10 community members who were directly involved in agroecological tourism and who were bilingual in Kichwa and Spanish. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results of the study revealed a highly positive impact on the revitalization of the Kichwa language. The interaction with tourists significantly boosted the use and appreciation of Kichwa, especially among young people, who began to appreciate their linguistic heritage in a deeper way. In addition, agroecological tourism strengthens the preservation of cultural identity by promoting the appreciation of local traditions and handicrafts. The community was able to share their ancestral wisdom and reaffirm their identity through these interactions, which contributed greatly to the preservation of their unique and valuable cultural heritage.
2024-12-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Universidad de Guadalajara (México)https://corima.udgvirtual.udg.mx/index.php/corima/article/view/7485"What else do they want us to do?": cultural practices located in a small town2024-07-11T20:50:14+00:00Valeria Révre@undav.edu.ar
The article analyzes processes related to cultural production in Chacabuco, a small, non-metropolitan and peripheral city in the northwest of the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina). Part of an ethnography carried out in the public conversation "Urban Scale and Cultural Management: challenges and strategies", organized for the communication of results obtained in an investigation on the cultural sector of Chacabuco between the years 2020-2023 and aimed at the entire community. Based on the record of this experience, from its design, production and realization, the work reflects on three issues related to cultural management oriented to the small city: 1) the production of institutional and personal presences based on notions of closeness/ distance; 2) the definition of roles and strategies among those who make up the local cultural sector; 3) the specificity of cultural management in the small urban area. In the description of this staging, representations and tensions are recorded that account for the complex relationships that derive from a reflection on cultural management from the urban scale
2024-12-17T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Universidad de Guadalajara (México)
